On November 20th Knit for Life honored their volunteers with a Volunteer Appreciation evening held at Tricoter Yarn Shop in Madison Park. Without their dedication and commitment KFL would not be able to run the 10 programs at 10 hospitals in the Puget Sound area, reaching more than 200 people every week.

Thanks to a generous donation from our angel donor, KFL was able to shower each and every one of our volunteers with a goodie bag loaded with knitting supplies from Serial Knitters.

It was a fun and wonderful way to end another successful year.

Volunteer Appreciation Evening

During the month of November Knit for Life is participating in the "Shaken Baby Syndrome" awareness program at Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah. All newborns at Swedish Medical Center will go home in a purple hat as a reminder of this very sad syndrome. All these hats will be knitted by the various volunteers, patients and caregivers who attend our KFL classes at Swedish. Eighty six purple hat knitted to date ... and we’re still counting!
